I am Jusung! I received my B.S. degree Summa Cum Laude in Chemistry from Hallym University in 2018 and completed my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Korea University in 2024 under the mentorship of Prof. Jong Seung Kim. My doctoral research centered on developing multifunctional fluorescent probes for detecting amyloid biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease.
I am a Lindau Alumnus, selected by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) as a Young Scientist at the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Chemistry (LINO25).
I am now an NRF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the research group of Prof. Liviu Mirica at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
My current work bridges molecular engineering in organic/bioinorgaic chemistry with integrative imaging, including two-photon microscopy, MRI, and PET, with the goal of developing an advanced imaging platform for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.
