I am Jusung, currently an NRF Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the research group of Prof. Liviu Mirica at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My research interests lie at the interface of molecular engineering in organic-bioinorganic chemistry and integrative imaging modalities, including two-photon microscopy and PET, with the goal of developing advanced imaging platforms for the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease.

I received my B.S. degree, summa cum laude, in Chemistry from Hallym University in 2018 and completed my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Korea University in 2024 under the mentorship of Prof. Jong Seung Kim. My doctoral research focused on the development of multifunctional fluorescent probes for detecting amyloid biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease.

I am a Lindau Alumnus, having been selected by the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) as a Young Scientist to attend the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings in Chemistry (LINO25), and also selected as a 2026 CAS Future Leader.
